If your numbers already live in another tool, you can connect it and let SimpleKPI pull them in on a schedule. Once a connection is set up, your KPIs update themselves: no manual entry, no repeat imports.
Connect a data source
Automatic updates come from a connection, which you set up under Settings → Connections. From there, choose a provider such as Google Analytics, Google Sheets, Stripe or Zendesk and follow the wizard.
- Go to Settings → Connections and pick the provider you want to connect.
- Enter your credentials (an API key or token, depending on the provider) so SimpleKPI can read your data.
- Choose which item the data should come from and give your connection a name.
- Select the metrics you want to track. Recommended ones arrive pre-ticked.
Set how often it refreshes
On the final step you decide the cadence. Under How often will your data be updated? pick an interval. That's the schedule SimpleKPI follows to fetch fresh values from then on. For providers that support it, How far back do you want to go? lets you backfill history when the connection is first made.
Click Connect to finish. Your history imports in the background, and from then on the connection tops up your KPIs on the schedule you chose. The values simply appear on the sheet and in your charts.
Tip: pick an interval that matches how the KPI is measured. Hourly detail on a monthly KPI just adds noise. You can still add or import numbers manually alongside a connected source whenever you need to.
