Explore is a deep-dive into a single KPI. When a Pulse card catches your eye, or you just want to understand one number properly, Explore lays out the trend, the comparisons, what's driving it, and what you could do next, all on one page.
Open a KPI
- Go to the Explore tab, or click any card in Pulse to jump straight in.
- Use the KPI selector pill to switch to a different KPI at any time.
- Use the date range pill to change the window. Explore defaults to roughly the last six months.
What you'll see
Explore reads the KPI's data and lays it out for you.
- A status pill summing up the latest period against target: Needs attention, Notable, or Awesome. On-track KPIs simply don't show a pill.
- Three comparison chips: this period, versus target, and versus last year (or the prior period when a year isn't available).
- A trend chart of actual against target, with a short forward forecast band when there's enough history.
- An anomaly flag if a spike or dip stands out from the KPI's recent average.
- Root causes: the breakdown items that moved the number most since the previous period.
- A Data section you can expand to see the raw figures by period, breakdown, or user.
Decide what to do
When a KPI needs attention or has room to improve, a How to fix (or How to improve) button opens a drawer of suggested actions, grouped into immediate levers and longer-term structural moves. These are recommendations to consider, not changes Explore makes for you.
Found a KPI you'll want to revisit? Use the star to add it to your favourites, or the overflow menu to Add to dashboard as a chart. Both keep it one click away next time.
