Insights watches your KPIs for you and tells you what's worth your attention. Instead of scanning every chart yourself, you get a running feed of what changed and a one-click deep-dive into any KPI that needs a closer look.
The two tabs
Insights has two tabs, and you switch between them at the top of the page.
- Pulse is a live feed of notable KPI events. Each card flags one thing that happened this period: a KPI that missed target, one that beat it, a big move, or an unusual spike or dip. It's your "what's going on right now?" view.
- Explore is a single-KPI deep-dive. Pick one KPI and see its trend, how it compares to target and to last year, what's driving the number, and what you might do about it.
What Insights reads
Insights works from the data you already have: your KPI values, targets, direction (higher or lower is better), and any RAG (red/amber/green) thresholds you've set. It reads that data and does the maths. It never changes your numbers, targets, or setup.
You'll get the most from Insights once your KPIs have a target and a few periods of data entered. Until then, Insights shows you a preview of what each tab looks like, with a prompt to add KPIs or data.
New to Insights? Start on Pulse to see what's moving, then click any card to open that KPI in Explore. The two tabs are designed to hand off to each other.
