Users are the people in your account who track KPIs, enter values, and view dashboards and reports. Adding someone gives them their own sign-in and a place in your organization. This is the single-person path; if you have a whole list to bring in at once, use Quick Add or Inviting users instead.

Add one person

You'll add their details, pick a role, then save. New users are created but can't sign in yet: SimpleKPI emails them a link to verify their email and set themselves up, so they land in a Pending state until they click it. The email goes out the moment you save.

  1. Go to the Users page.
  2. Click Add a User.
  3. Enter their first and last name, and their email address. The email is how they sign in, so it needs to be one they can reach.
  4. Choose a role under Set Role & Privileges. The dropdown explains what each role can do.
  5. Tick any privileges that apply to that role, then click Save.

SimpleKPI signs everyone in without a password: on each sign-in they receive a one-time code by email, so you never set or share a password for them.

Almost everyone you add is there to enter their own KPI values, so Can enter values against their KPIs starts ticked for new users. You can add a profile photo now or leave it, and the person can change it themselves later.
