A role decides what someone can see and do in your account, from read-only viewing right up to full control. Choosing the right role keeps people focused on their work and keeps sensitive areas, like billing and settings, in the right hands.

The roles
- Viewer can only view the dashboards and reports shared with them. They can't be assigned KPIs or enter data.
- Contributor can enter KPI values and build their own dashboards and reports.
- Manager can manage their team's KPIs and view their data.
- Analyst has read access to all data, KPIs, and reports.
- Admin has full access to every area, plus system settings.
- Owner is the account owner, with complete control. There's one Owner, and it can't be locked or removed.
Set or change a role
- On the Users page, click the edit icon on the person's row.
- Under Set Role & Privileges, pick a role from the dropdown. Each option explains what it can do.
- Tick any privileges shown for that role, then click Save.
Some roles unlock extra choices. Pick Manager and you can select which users they're allowed to manage, and whether they can enter values and edit KPIs. Pick Admin and you can grant access to settings and billing.
Manager, Analyst, and Admin are only offered if you're an Owner or Admin yourself. Viewers and Analysts are read-only where KPIs are concerned, so they never appear in the KPI-assignment lists.
